Devils to scratch Tallinder for 7th straight

Henrik Tallinder is slated to be a healthy scratch for a seventh straight game Friday when the Devils host Philadelphia.
The defenseman and coach Pete DeBoer had an "open-heart discussion" on the ice at the end of Thursday's practice. "I think that's what good coaches do," Tallinder said. "Sometimes you have to explain the situation and hear what the player thinks and all that just to keep the group intact."
