Malhotra will miss the rest of the season

Manny Malhotra has been been placed on Vancouver's injured reserve list and he's projected to miss the balance of the 2013 season.
The Canucks didn't say what is bothering the 32-year-old center, but GM Mike Gillis released this statement: "The long-term health of Manny Malhotra is of utmost importance to our organization. Throughout his career Manny has showcased his indispensability through skilled play, being a consummate professional and leader in the room while also continuously giving back to the community. Manny will continue to be a valued member of our organization." Malhotra didn't play Tuesday because of a personal matter.
