Aaron Johnson has to stick around with Boston
Aaron Johnson - D - Boston Bruins
Feb. 13, 2013 - 9:50 AM ET

Aaron Johnson went to Providence on Monday for a conditioning stint, but found out that he was not allowed a second rehab assignment later in the day.

He had already gone down at the start of the season, so he'll have to wait for his next opportunity to play in Boston's lineup. "It's not too bad. It's a great group of guys, we're doing a lot of drills in game situations with (assistant coach Doug Houda)," said Johnson. "This is all part of my situation and it's all kind of what I signed up for and I'm ready to do whatever it takes. If it means waiting a month until I get to play, it's OK. It's just up to me to stay ready." He has a one-year, two-way deal with the Bruins and would have to clear waivers to be sent down to AHL Providence.
