Signs pointing to Bolts re-signing Stamkos

While no official progress has been made, it's clear the Lightning have every intention of doing what it takes to retain Steven Stamkos.
The fact that the Lightning sat on the sidelines while other teams signed big-name free agents combined with their allowing Simon Gagne to sign a contract with the Kings makes it clear they wanted to retain sufficient space to lock up their franchise player. In the event that Stamkos receives an offer sheet from another club you can be certain the Lightning will match the offer.
