Ilya Kovalchuk scores again in loss to Canes

Ilya Kovalchuk found the back of the net in New Jersey's 4-2 loss to Carolina Tuesday.
His fifth marker of the year was scored on a first-period power play and it extended his current point streak to four games. Goals had been hard to come by for Kovalchuk in the early going, but he appears to hitting his stride now with three tallies and three assists during his point spree. Ryan Carter's second goal of the campaign was the team's other score in the loss.
