Andrew Desjardins placed on injured reserve

The San Jose Sharks have placed Andrew Desjardins on injured reserve.
The center has not played since coach Todd Richards said he had "the sniffles" on Friday, but Sharks beat writer Kevin Kurz noticed Tuesday that Desjardins had suddenly been listed as being on injured reserve. Obviously, it's a bit of a jump to go from the sniffles to injured reserve, but we have yet to see an explanation for the move. We'll update you as soon as we know more.
