Phillies lose Utley, Polanco to disabled list

Phillies placed 2B Chase Utley on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained ulnar collateral ligament of the right thumb.
A big blow to the Phillies and fantasy owners alike. Utley sprained his thumb while trying to leg out a double on Monday night against the Reds and nobody is sure yet how long he might be out. The second baseman will leave behind a .277/.383/.466 batting line, 11 home runs and 37 RBI. Phillies third baseman Placido Polanco has also been placed on the disabled list.
