Tortorella praises Lundqvist's performance
Henrik Lundqvist - G - New York Rangers
Feb. 11, 2013 - 10:30 AM ET

Although the scoresheet would suggest that Henrik Lundqvist had an easy night on Sunday, Rangers coach John Tortorella gave him a fair share of the credit for the 5-1 victory over Tampa Bay.

Lundqvist turned aside 19 of 20 shots, including six straight in the first period. However, that's not the full story. "I really feel the most important part of the game is Hank in the first period," John Tortorella said. "We're up (1-0) and we're giving up chance after chance. We could have easily been down 3-2 in that first period, and that's where I thought we settled down and played more of a complete game in all zones." Lundqvist put up less than ideal numbers early this season, but he has bounced back with two straight one-goal games.
