Manzella out six weeks with fractured finger
Tommy Manzella - SS - Houston Astros
June 23, 2010 - 4:50 PM ET

Tommy Manzella has been diagnosed with a fractured left index finger and is expected to miss the next six weeks.

The 27-year-old shortstop has hit just .212/.259/.254 in 189 at-bats this season, so one may argue that this is actually a good thing for the Astros. Geoff Blum is starting at shortstop on Wednesday night, but Ozzie Navarro will be called up to handle the gig on a more full-time basis.
