New Orleans trying to deal Emeka Okafor
Emeka Okafor - C - New Orleans Hornets
March 15, 2012 - 9:15 AM ET

The New Orleans Hornets "have been trying" to trade Emeka Okafor and have also "listened to offers" for Trevor Ariza.

It's not a surprise for either player. We've heard that both players are very available, but the league-owned have been lofty in what the team seeks in return, so it remains to be seen if either one is dealt. Okafor is currently dealing with a knee injury and is owed $28 million beyond the current season, while Ariza has approximately $15 million owed to him over the next two seasons. With teams reluctant to take on salary, the Hornets have a lot of work to do in order to find a home for either.
