RNH doesn't think he'll need shoulder surgery
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins - C - Edmonton Oilers
Feb. 8, 2013 - 10:25 AM ET

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins doesn't think he'll ultimately need surgery to deal with his ongoing shoulder problems.

"It's feeling good. I feel confident I'll be ready to go," said Nugent-Hopkins after missing Wednesday's game. "I have to make sure I'm taking care of it, but with a (compacted) schedule like this everybody has to take care of their body. So if there's anything nagging at you, it's that much more important to make sure you do." Consider Nugent-Hopkins probable for Saturday's game, but keep in mind this isn't the first time he's dealt with shoulder problems during his NHL career.
