The Columbus Blue Jackets have gotten off to some strong starts lately, but they've fizzled out as the game progressed.
That was the case on Thursday when they got off to a 2-1 lead en route to a 4-3 overtime defeat. "I tried not to pump the (player's) tires after the first period," Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards said. "We have to figure it out. For 20 minutes it's good. But then we lose our game, and when it's gone, it's gone. It's not for one shift or two shifts; it's an extended period of time." Columbus is now 3-6-2 this season and the expectations regarding them are very low.
