Phil Kessel finally scored his first goal of the season to give Toronto a 3-2 victory against Winnipeg on Thursday night.
He scored at the 15:52 mark of the third period on a Leafs power play to snap a 2-2 tie an end his 10-game goalless drought. Kessel was bound to score sooner or later as he has been credited with a whopping 46 shots in only 11 games. Tyler Bozak had a shorthanded goal and an assist in the match, while Matt Frattin had Toronto's other marker.
