Ryan Callahan continues to make progress

Ryan Callahan is making positive progress in his recovery from a shoulder injury.
He was on the ice for the third straight day Wednesday and participated in some contact. "I had a little more contact today, pushing and shoving a little bit," Callahan said. "It reacted good out there. It's just the next step, try a little bit of contact today. I wouldn't look any more into it than that." It might be possible for him to return by Sunday and he wouldn't rule out playing Thursday, but cautioned that it was still "too early to say."
