Daniel Taylor gets one-year deal from Flames

Daniel Taylor received a one-year, two-way contract with the Calgary Flames on Wednesday.

Taylor has been solid in the AHL this season with the team's minor-league affiliate in Abbotsford, where he has posted a 13-9-1 record in 26 appearances. He currently sits second the league with a 1.77 goals-against average and fourth with a .930 save percentage. He has also been called up from the minors and will serve as Leland Irving's backup while Miikka Kiprusoff is out with a lower-body injury.
