Blue Jackets defenseman Nikita Nikitin has been placed on Injured Reserve, retroactive to January 29th, as a result of an upper body injury.
The Columbus defense corps has been ravaged by injuries of late, as James Wisniewski is out indefinitely after sustaining injuries in Saturday's win over the Red Wings. Let's hope Jack Johnson feels well because he's about to get all the ice time he can handle, and perhaps more.
