Brewers sign Brian Bruney to minors deal

Brewers signed RHP Brian Bruney to a minor league contract.
Well, he certainly picked a place where he could make an impact if things continue to go south with Trevor Hoffman. With that in mind, Bruney's contract has an out-clause in a month. The 28-year-old right-hander posted a 7.64 ERA over his first 19 appearances with the Nationals before being designated for assignment and then released last month.
