Ryan White penalties cost Canadiens dearly
Ryan White - W - Montreal Canadiens
Jan. 31, 2013 - 10:50 AM ET

Ryan White's double minor in the second period resulted in Ottawa scoring a pair of power-play goals to blow the game wide open.

He was given a minor for roughing and another two minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct. "I was complaining," said White. "I thought he was holding my stick along the boards, but I have to learn to shut up and just go to the box." The two goals the Senators scored gave them a 3-1 lead en route to a 5-1 victory. White finished the contest with nine penalty minutes to give him a league-leading 42 on the year. His teammate, Brandon Prust, is next in line with 41 PIMs.
