Niklas Backstrom was brilliant in relief Wednesday night, making 28 saves in the Wild's 3-2 shootout win over the Blackhawks.
Josh Harding received the start, but lasted 6:45 as he gave up two goals on four shots. All Backstrom did was come in cold and stop every shot, 28, fired on him. It was his best performance of the season and should be a big confidence booster. Harding, on the other hand, has allowed seven goals on his last 31 shots.
