Oilers are gettting nothing handed to them

The Edmonton Oilers have a lot of talent but there are no guarantees that they will succeed this season.
"We haven't proven anything yet," said Oilers captain Shawn Horcoff. "A bunch of first overall picks, if you look back in history, that doesn't guarantee success. For every Pittsburgh and Chicago there's a Columbus and Florida. It doesn't guarantee anything." The Oilers look good offensively thus far but are lacking on the defensive side of things.
