Don't expect the Bruins to be returning Dougie Hamilton to the OHL after the five-game evaluation period is over.
He's just 19 and has four games under his belt, but the defenseman already has three assists (two against the Islanders) and is averaging 18:04 of ice time. "He looks like he's ready, he's ready to play," said general manager Peter Chiarelli. "You could say he's arguably been one of our top two defensemen the last couple of games. Very good player. "(He has) tremendous poise and vision for a big guy who can move like he can. He takes pride in defending, which is very consistent with what we stand for. And he'll lead the rush, or, when he sees an opening, he'll jump in the rush."
