Yankees prospect Jesus Montero was benched over the weekend at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre for not running out a grounder on Friday.
Let's hope the 20-year-old catcher learned a quick lesson. He returned to the starting lineup Monday and finished 0-for-4. "It's typical stuff you handle and deal with," Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said of Montero's benching. "He's healthy and ready to go." The highly regarded prospect is hitting .234 with two home runs and 11 RBI in 25 games this season.
