Report: O'Reilly parts ways with KHL club

Ryan O'Reilly and KHL Metallurg have reportedly mutually agreed to terminate his contract.
This will give Metallurg time to sign a replacement before that window closes on Jan. 31. However, O'Reilly also reportedly "aggravated" a foot injury in his last KHL contest and it's not clear how serious that is. O'Reilly is a restricted free agent and this could signal that the Avalanche are close to re-signing O'Reilly.
