JVR's three-point night fuels Leafs' 5-2 win
James van Riemsdyk - W - Toronto Maple Leafs
Jan. 24, 2013 - 1:45 AM ET

James Van Riemsdyk scored twice and assisted once to lead the Maple Leafs to a 5-2 win over the Penguins on Wednesday night.

This is the type of game that reminds you why since-fired general manager Brian Burke was so interested in the talented power forward. Van Riemsdyk, still only 23, has all the ability to break out in a pretty big way this season. Mikhail Grabovski, Clarke MacArthur and Tyler Bozak had the other markers. Nikolai Kulemin had a trio of assists.
