Danny Briere may not be ready until next week

Daniel Briere filled in for Scott Hartnell during Wednesday's no-contact practice.
However, he isn't any closer to being to able to return and he may not be ready to play until next week. Briere isn't expected to play Thursday against the Rangers and his availability this weekend versus Florida and Tampa Bay is uncertain as well. He hopes to play during the team's Florida road swing, but he'll need clearance for contact first.
