The Washington Capitals have begun the 2013 season with an 0-2 record under new head coach Adam Oates.
"It is a new system, it's going to be hard and we've got to fight through that," Oates said after Tuesday's home opener loss to Winnipeg. "Still, I thought we could have had better execution. I thought we didn't give ourselves the opportunity to play the team game." Due to the abbreviated training camp, coaches weren't presented with much time to work with their players, but the Capitals will have to learn quickly if they want to compete in the NHL's 48-game campaign.
