Brad Stuart likes defense partner Vlasic
Brad Stuart - D - San Jose Sharks
Jan. 22, 2013 - 11:10 AM ET

Brad Stuart has been impressed with his new defense partner Marc-Edouardo Vlasic.

Stuart returned to the Sharks in the off-season after signing on after the Red Wings dealt him, knowing he was going to be a UFA. He was the third overall pick of the Sharks in the 1998 Draft and was the major piece the Bruins took back when they dealt Joe Thornton to San Jose in 2005. He is happy to be back in San Jose and playing alongside Vlasic. "He's a good, smart defenseman, and those are always the easiest guys to play with. It will take us a few games to kind of learn how to read off of each other a little bit better, but I think for the most part it's been good," Stuart said. At age 33, Stuart does not have a lot of fantasy value so we suggest passing on him at this time.
