Roberto Luongo stopped 30 of 32 shots for the Canucks in a 3-2 shootout loss to Edmonton Sunday night.
The naming of Luongo as starter for this game could have created an unintended controversy had the Canucks won, especially since Cory Schneider was pulled in the middle of Saturday night's opener. Despite the fact Luongo played reasonably well, Schneider is all but guaranteed to start the next contest for Vancouver.
