Rick Nash scored his first goal as a New York Ranger Sunday, but it wasn't enough as the Blueshirts dropped a 6-3 decision to Pittsburgh.
Nash scored a beautiful short-handed marker in the third period to narrow the deficit to 5-3, but Pittsburgh added an empty-netter to salt the contest away. Nash has recorded a point in each of his first two games this season. Derek Stepan and Brad Richards each recorded two assists in the losing effort.
