Buffalo gives GM Regier a contract extension

GM Darcy Regier has received a contract extension by the Buffalo Sabres.
Regier is about to begin his 16th season as the Sabres' general manager. "He's a talented guy," owner Terry Pegula said. "From what I read, maybe not everyone agrees with that, but he has all the resources now. We work very well together and we're looking forward to the future." The terms of the deal were not released.
