Thompson plays just 12 minutes in win
Tristan Thompson - F - Cleveland Cavaliers
Feb. 16, 2012 - 6:35 AM ET

Tristan Thompson played just 12 minutes on Wednesday, despite the continued absence of Anderson Varejao (wrist).

Thompson scored two points on 1-of-3 shooting with three rebounds and one assist, and this result will likely send him to the waiver wire in many leagues. We still like him to have a considerable role down the stretch, but Byron Scott doesn't hand minutes to rookies and Thompson (ankle) is either not 100 percent or not playing up to Scott's standards. For now, he's underperforming stash with a very favorable roster situation.
