Richards pleased with Bobrovsky's work ethic
Sergei Bobrovsky - G - Columbus Blue Jackets
Jan. 18, 2013 - 9:55 AM ET

Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards has been happy with what Sergei Bobrovsky has done in training camp.

Bobrovsky had a 1.94 GAA and a .932 save percentage in 24 KHL games during the lockout. "Bobrovsky coming in having played games, I think I was expecting a smoother transition (to training camp), which is exactly what we got," Richards said. "I'm impressed with his work ethic." Bobrovsky is battling Steve Mason for the starting job. Richards will name his opening game starter in the near future, but regardless of who gets the nod, both should get plenty of chances this season.
