Nassau might announce new arena for Islanders

Nassau County is expected to state their intentions to build "a world-class sports-entertainment destination center."
It is believed that the announcement will include a plan to build a new arena for the New York Islanders. Charles Wang, owner of the Islanders, has been campaigning for a new arena for the Islanders for years as part of his proposed Lighthouse Project. Although that Wang hasn't been able to gain much traction for his project, this could be a viable alternative for the Islanders. We'll keep you posted.
