The lockout is that much closer to being officially over as the NHLPA announced that it ratified the new Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The final step to totally ceasing the work stoppage is for both sides to sign a Memorandum of Understanding. Many believe that will be completed either on Saturday or Sunday. After that, it's expected that the transaction floodgates will open. Over 98 percent of the players voted to ratify the agreement.
