Marian Gaborik joined his teammates on the ice for an informal skate on Wednesday.
He underwent off-season shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum and is fully recovered now thanks to the lockout. "I feel good; my shoulder feels fine," Gaborik said. "To be back here, it's a very exciting time to get this done and start playing. It's going to be a hard 10 days until we start, but everybody has to get ready and jump into it." He was medically cleared in mid-December and is looking forward to testing his shoulder in contact drills during the team's abbreviated training camp.
