Paul Martin knows he needs to improve

Paul Martin knows he needs to be steadier for the Penguins this season.
Martin, who is in the third year of a five-year, $25 million deal, struggled last season. "In general, for most parts of the game, be better at both ends of the rink. Defensively, offensively ' moving the puck, and in general I just need to be better," Martin said. Martin is expected to partner with Bruce Orpik to start the season, with Kris Letang and Matt Niskanen forming another pair.
