Semyon Varlamov is slated to return to the fold for Colorado on Wednesday night, according to Avalanche backup keeper Jean-Sebastien Giguere.
Varlamov played well in the KHL during the lockout with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, where he posted a 16-8-4 record, a 1.74 goals-against average, a .946 save percentage and three shutouts. While the competition and style of the game is different when compared to the NHL, it is encouraging that he enjoyed success and stayed sharp while others stayed inactive.
