Ilya Bryzgalov is preparing for the upcoming season and he would like to play frequently during the shortened schedule.
"I would love to play a lot," he said. "When I played in Phoenix, I played in almost 70 games a year. And I feel great." Bryzgalov had a slow start in the KHL and he said he "found myself far behind everybody on the team who was in shape," but his time overseas should have him in game shape for the start of the NHL season. With CSKA Moscow he posted a 6-5-0 record with a 2.13 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage in 12 games. If he doesn't perform this season it is being speculated that he could become the target of an amnesty buyout, but he isn't concerning himself with that right now and he just wants to get ready to take care of business.
