Bill Daly has 'low' expectations for Friday
Sidney Crosby - C - Pittsburgh Penguins
Jan. 4, 2013 - 11:20 AM ET

NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly has "low" expectations heading into Friday's meetings.

No sense in painting a promising picture at this point of the game. Mediator Scot Beckenbaugh is convening separately with both sides early Friday, and there should be negotiations later on in the day, though nothing has been set yet. In short, CSN Philly's Tim Panaccio calls pensions, the 2013-14 salary cap, term limits on player contracts and salary variance on contracts the biggest issues right now.
