Tomas Kopecky is optimistic that the lockout could end as early as this week.
"Every time we heard the two sides are talking and negotiating sparks up your mood a little bit," he said. "We're more happy and optimistic that the deal gets done. We're keeping our fingers crossed." Kopecky also said he believes that a week of training camp would be enough time to get ready for a condensed 48-game schedule.
