The Giants signed pitchers Matt Cain, Jeremy Affeldt and Brian Wilson to contract extensions that run through 2012.
"It's our window," Giants general manager Brian Sabean said. "We had a position-player window with [Barry] Bonds and we have these guys for [2012] now. The comfort in knowing that they are going to be in Giants uniforms helping us win games is a statement in itself." Cain got a new three-year contract. His deal, obviously, was the richest of the group, reportedly worth $4.25 million this year, $7 million next season and $15 million in 2012. Cain also received a $1 million signing bonus.
