Nicklas Backstrom suffers neck bruise in KHL

Nicklas Backstrom has missed two straight games for Dynamo Moscow since suffering a neck bruise on Dec. 26.
It's unclear when he will be able to return as the ailment could be the day-to-day or week-to-week variety, according to a report. Backstrom missed the majority of the 2011-12 campaign with a concussion, so the Washington Capitals will likely monitor the situation closely and so should any potential fantasy owners should the league and players agree to a new CBA soon.
