A Russian report states that Randy Robitaille has been dealt from Metallurg Novokuznetsk to Donbass of the KHL.
Robitaille, according to the report, was dealt because of salary reasons. He has not played in the NHL since 2008 when he was a member of the Ottawa Senators. He then played a couple of seasons with Lugano of the Swiss League before returning to North America to play one season in the AHL with San Antonio. He then returned to Europe to play with Metallurg Novokuznetsk the last two seasons. At age 37, he will not return to the NHL as a player.
