Chapman (back) could pitch next Monday
Aroldis Chapman - S - Cincinnati Reds
March 25, 2010 - 4:10 PM ET

Reds general manager Walt Jocketty said Aroldis Chapman (back) could pitch in a game as soon as next Monday.

Chapman left Monday's game against the Rockies due to muscle spasms in his lower back. He threw long toss on Thursday and is expected to throw a bullpen session this weekend. The Reds were given quite a scare, but it's safe to say they haven't yet closed the door on the possibility of him opening the season as the fifth starter.
