NHLPA counteroffer might come Monday

The union might not make its counteroffer until Monday.
The contents of that offer and how the NHL reacts to it could play a big role in determining if there's a 2012-13 NHL season. There's still a little time left to salvage the negotations if they breakdown again, but not much. It's believed that the deadline to agree up on a new CBA is mid-January.
