Rickard Rakell registered an assist in Sweden's 3-2 shootout win over Switzerland at the World Junior Championship in Ufa.
The Anaheim Ducks got Rakell with the 30th overall pick in the 2011 NHL entry draft and signed an entry-level deal with the team this past summer. Rakell has a respectable 30 points in 30 games in the OHL with the Plymouth Whalers this season but he is not projected to be a fantasy gem in the NHL as his offensive skills are lacking. However, he does have the potential to be an excellent third-liner and penalty killer.
