Tomas Hertl gets assist in win Friday in Ufa

Tomas Hertl registered an assist in the Czech Republic's 3-1 victory over Finland on Friday at the World Junior Championship in Ufa.
The San Jose Sharks took Hertl with the 17th overall pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He has 22 points in 29 games with Slavia Praha HC of the Czech League. The big centerman could compete for a roster spot as early as next season with the Sharks as long as he improves his speed and skating ability.
