Daniel Briere extends contract with Berlin

Daniel Briere has extended his contract with the Berlin Polar Bears.
Briere's contract with them will now last the entire year. That being said, it's probably a safe bet that it comes with an out-clause so that he can return to the NHL if the lockout ends. Before this lockout began, he was expected to make $7 million with the Philadelphia Flyers this season.
