Getty ImagesIf your brackets are in shambles after the first weekend of the NCAA tournament, rest assured you’re not alone.
Of 42,715 brackets entered in the NBCSports.com “It’s Madness” game, none are perfect. In fact, after Thursday's first-round games ended with Georgetown's upset loss, there were no perfect brackets.
Five entrants have 41 picks correct out of 48.
If you picked overall top seed Kansas to win it all, take heart that 47 percent of bracket entrants did the same thing. The Jayhawks were knocked out with a 69-67 loss to Northern Iowa on Saturday.
On the other hand, five users have Northern Iowa winning it all. Eight have fellow Cinderella St. Mary's as the eventual champion, and 10 picked Cornell to take the title.
Arc's five up, five down: After No. 11 Michigan State's 58-48 upset of No. 3 Ohio State, you'd be a fool to discount the Spartans' national title chances now.
