Jamison officially signs Coyotes' arena lease

The lease papers on the Jobing.com Arena have officially been signed, putting Greg Jamison one step closer to owning the Phoenix Coyotes.
Jamison now has until Jan. 31, 2012 to purchase the team from the NHL. If everything goes smoothly, Jamison will face the daunting task of making the Coyotes profitable in Glendale. The terms of the next CBA are likely to help the Coyotes financially compared to the old one, but at the same time they might be hit hard by fan apathy following the lockout. Winning fans back in a city that was already having trouble drawing a crowd is likely to be a difficult, but vital task.
